The Windy Rafters Barn is believed to have been built between 1910-’20 by Tom Orr, his family, neighbours and hired help.
The barn is unique for this area and time period due to the fact that it was built without a hay loft. Instead the entire main area was left open and could hold a lot more loose hay.
Windy Rafter Barn is at 93033 Range Road 250, just 19 minutes west of Lethbridge or 10 minutes east of Fort Macleod and four kilometres south of Highway 3 on Range Road 250 to 93033.
