1925 — 2023
Alice May Paskal passed away peacefully at age 98 in Fort Macleod on Saturday, April 1, 2023, at 12:20 p.m. with some of her family present.
Alice was predecased by her husband of 65 years, Mike Paskal; her grandson, 16-year-old Danny Paskal; and two brothers, Albert and Oscar.
Alice is survived by her six children Phillip (Marjorie), Sandra, Doug (Frances), Rick (Diana), Brenda (Mike) and Cheryl (Steve). She has 15 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her five sisters, Margaret, Bertha, Jean, Louise and Audrey and two brothers, Roy and Alvin and numerous nieces and nephews.
Alice was born in Saskatchewan in 1925 but moved to Alberta as a child with her family, including nine siblings. Eventually she married Mike and they farmed in the Turin area. They later moved to Whitehorse and she owned a fabric store. Then back to Lethbridge in the late 1980s. She enjoyed living in BlackRock Terrace for 14 years and was excited to move to the Pioneer Lodge in Fort Macleod a few months ago. Her last days were spent under the wonderful care of the Pioneer Lodge and Community Support Bed staff in Fort Macleod and her loving family.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Community Support Beds at Fort Macleod Health Centre, P.O. Box 520, Fort Macleod, Alta., T0L 0Z0.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
