Schedule coming together for Fort Macleod’s 150th anniversary

The schedule for Fort Macleod’s 150th anniversary celebration this summer is taking shape.

The celebration begins June 25 and continues until July 1, highlighted by a pro rodeo, concerts, pancake breakfast and community barbecue.

The highlight is a country concert headlined by The Washboard Union. Tickets are at www.showpass.com/fortmacleod150 and use the password celebrate.

The schedule will be updated as events and times are confirmed.

The following is the schedule of events at present:

Tuesday, June 25

  • • Opening ceremonies at 10 a.m. at Midnight Stadium.
  • 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. — Agricultural show at Midnight Stadium.
  • 1 p.m. — Beer gardens at Midnight Stadium.
  • 6 p.m. — Pro rodeo at Midnight Stadium.
  • 10 p.m. — Rodeo dance and beer gardens at Midnight Stadium.

Wednesday, June 26

  • • 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. — Agricultural show continues at Midnight Stadium.
  • 1 p.m. — Beer gardens at Midnight Stadium.
  • 6 p.m. — Pro rodeo at Midnight Stadium.
  • 10 p.m. — Rodeo dance and beer gardens at Midnight Stadium.

Thursday, June 27

  • • 7:30 p.m. — Tim Isberg concert at the Empress Theatre.

Friday, June 28

  • • 12 noon — Street curling at the Legion.
  • 3-5 p.m. — Corporate dunk tank challenge at the Legion.
  • 3-8 p.m. — Celebration check-in at the community hall.
  • Legion celebration (time TBA).
  • 5 p.m. — 150th opening ceremonies on Main Street.
  • Community barbecue (time TBA).
  • 6 p.m. — Grassland Singers on Main Street.
  • 7 p.m. — Morgan Klaiber concert at Midnight Stadium.
  • 7 p.m. — Will Big Bull performance on Main Street.
  • 8 p.m. — Starpainter performance on Main Street.
  • Dusk — Fort Macleod 150th drone show.

Saturday, June 29
