New Canyon Church Camp cabins need mattresses, craft sets, cleaning supplies, space heaters and more.
Canyon Church Camp launched a “Build a Bunk” fund-raising campaign as it rebuilds from the 2017 Kenow wildfire in Water Lakes National Park.
People are encouraged to make a donation in someone’s else’s name as a Christmas gift.
The donations are geared to prepare cabins 1 to 3 for campers in 2025 and rebuild cabins 4-7.
People who make financial donations in someone’s name will receive a gift certificate to share with the recipient.
Tax receipts will be issued for donations of $20 or more.
Donations are encouraged in the following categories:
- Siesta book — $20.
- Cabin cleaning supplies (12 are needed) — $25.
- Cabin craft kits (12 sets needed) — $50.
- Ladder (25 needed) — $75.
- Bunk mattresses (92 needed) — $100.
- Build a half bunk (eight needed) — $125.
- Build bunk (25 needed) — $250.
- Stuffed mattress (four queens needed) — $500.
- Space heaters (14 needed) — $1,000.
- Furnish a whole cabin — $2,500.
