Due to a planned emergency power shutdown the Fort Macleod Health Centre emergency department (ED) will temporarily close from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 17.
During the temporary closure, nursing staff will remain on-site to provide care for long-term care residents.
Public health appointments will be paused on Monday, Aug. 18 as a result of the power shutdown and resume on Tuesday, Aug. 19.
Patients are asked to call 911 if they have a medical emergency.
EMS calls will be re-routed to Chinook Regional Hospital in Lethbridge.
Patients seeking care can access emergency services at the Pincher Creek Health Centre, Chinook Regional Hospital Or Claresholm Community Health Centre.
Residents are encouraged to call Health Link at 811, which is available 24/7 for non-emergency health-related questions.
Individuals requiring non-emergency medical care are encouraged to call their family physician.
