RCMP investigating suspicious death

The Alberta RCMP major crimes is investigating a suspicious death.

Fort Macleod RCMP and Blood Tribe Police were dispatched about 10:19 a.m., March 25 to a report of blood on the Healy Bridge on Highway 511 near Willow Creek.

It was also reported there was a body below on the river. Officers attended and located a deceased male. Alberta RCMP major crimes have taken carriage of the investigation.

An autopsy was completed March 28 at the chief medical examiner’s office in Calgary. The death was deemed a homicide. The deceased was identified as a 32-year-old man from Lethbridge.

Alberta RCMP major crimes continues the  investigation and are requesting the public’s assistance. They are asking for any dash cam video from Highway 511 near the Healy Bridge, between Highway 509 and Highway 2, on March 25, between 3 a.m. and 9 a.m.
