Scougall Motors shifted the outdoor pool fund-raiser into high gear last week with a $50,000 donation.
The donation nearly doubled the total raised to date, with just over $100,000 raised toward the goal of $250,000.
“We appreciate everything you do for our town,” Town of Fort Macleod chief administrative officer Sue Keenan told Scougall Motors staff.
Donations to the pool project totalled $107,356.55 last week.
The project includes demolishing the existing pool, tennis courts and skate park and supplying and installing a new six-lane 25-meter pool, lazy river area, one-meter diving board, beach entry and mechanical room.
Other features include a water umbrella, dump buckets, spray jets, 10-foot climbing wall, artifical turf and hydrojets.
There are several elements to the town’s fund-raising campaign.
Naming rights for the competitive six-lane pool are available for a contribution of $150,000.
Naming rights for the leisure pool are available for a donation of $100,000.
Lazy river naming rights are available for a donation of $95,000.
Businesses, organizations and individuals can put their name on the climbing wall for a donation of $25,000.

Contributions will be recognized on a donor’s wall that will be erected at the pool according to the following levels of contribution: diamond, $50,000 or more; platinum, $20,000 to $49,999; gold, $10,000 to $19,999; silver, $5,000 to $9,999; and friend, $150 to $4,999.
