She worked at hospitals in Edmonton, Claresholm, California, Taber and returned to Claresholm which became the home where Kaye and Bob raised their two sons on a ranch west of Claresholm. Kaye was part of the nursing profession for 43 years; nursing at the General Hospital, Auxiliary Hospital, and became Director of Nursing at the Care Centre.
Kaye spent her retirement years travelling with Bob, participating in senior swimming competitions across Canada and internationally; playing golf, card games like bridge, canasta, and euchre; darts, hooking rugs, but her favourite past time, being an avid reader, was the enjoyment she received when reading books. She also followed all sports, especially her beloved Blue Jays, and had many conversations with her grandchildren around sporting events.
A celebration of Kaye’s life will be held at a later date.
